Avalanche 4, Blackhawks 3 (AP)


For 59 minutes, the Colorado Avalanche were on their way to a bad loss. The final 58 seconds of regulation changed all that. Dan Hinote and Rob Blake scored in the last minute, and the Avalanche moved within three points of the Northwest Division lead with a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night.

GAME: Chicago Blackhawks (24-40-13) at Minnesota Wild (37-35-7).

TIME: Tuesday, 8 p.m. EDT.

In a matchup of two teams eliminated from the postseason, the Minnesota Wild will try to maintain their dominance at home over the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Wild, playing their final home game of the season, have won five straight at the Xcel Energy Center against the Blackhawks, outscoring them 21-11 in that span.

Minnesota jumped out to a 4-0 lead Sunday and held on for a 5-2 win over Colorado.
